Originals Privacy Policy
Originals will never rent or sell your email address to anyone-ever.
We value the trust you place in Originals. We want to ensure
that you understand what information we gather about you,
how we use it, and the safeguards we have in place in order
to protect it. If you have additional questions or would like
further information on this topic, please feel free to email
us at or call (877) 229-7299. Originals may update this policy
from time to time. Please check back periodically for changes.
When and how does Originals collect information about me?
Whenever Originals needs information about you, we explicitly
ask for it. When you first register an account with Originals,
we ask specifically for your name, address, email, phone number,
and date of birth. Additionally, each time you make a purchase
with a Originals merchant, the purchase amount (in the form
of "points" is also logged in our database).
Only Originals and the merchants you visit have access to
your individual information. The Originals program helps local
merchants better understand shopping/dining trends in their
customer base and ultimately improve their products and services.
Sharing your information with the merchants you visit helps
them to communicate with you on a personal level, to keep
you informed, and to increase quality control measures.
Occasionally, we send email and/or US mail on behalf of our
merchants-this includes birthday notes and invitations to
special events. The merchant provides us with the mailing
piece, and then we approve the piece, affix mailing labels,
and send the piece to you.
Other examples of when we may ask you to voluntarily provide
personally identifiable information include if you subscribe
to our email program (information such as your name and e-mail
address), choose to provide us preference information (such
as interests, product preferences, and items purchased), or
when you enter a sweepstakes or one of our promotions (information
such as name, address and telephone number).
How does Originals keep my information secure?
Originals maintains practices and procedures designed to ensure
the security, integrity and confidentiality of your information.
We restrict and limit access to customer information only
to those employees who need it to carry out their business
functions, and educate our employees about safeguarding customer
information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure,
or use. When credit card information is transmitted online,
Originals uses industry standard security measures including,
but not limited to 40-bit encryption and VeriSign/Thawte certificates.
Originals will monitor and adopt, as appropriate, new technological
improvements that are designed to aid in ensuring the accuracy
and security of customer information.
